Former Oxford Instruments CEO takes up chair at illumion’s board
illumion announces the appointment of Dr. Ian Barkshire as non-executive chairperson of the board.
Ian brings a proven track record of developing and driving commercial excellence of innovative technologies in world-leading companies.
From 2016 to 2023, he was chief executive officer of Oxford Instruments – a scientific instrument manufacturer. Prior, he held several leadership positions in the organisation as chief operating officer, group technical director and divisional head.
Currently, Ian is a member of the strategic advisory board of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme, non-executive director at Melrose PLC and a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
